Three day introduction series into Shopbot CNC machine. Attendance to all three days is require to be signed off to use the tool.

Day 1 (11/14) 6-8PM - If you want to get into large format CNC (computer numerical control) routing, V-Carve is a great place to start. This software takes simple 2-D images and turns them into dynamic 3-D carvings for our Shopbot CNC router. This class will review the basics of V-carve software and will include designing a sign to be cut on the CNC in the following class.

Day 2 (11/15) 6-8PM - In this session the group will learn all about the ShopBot, including setup, operations, and upkeep. Folks will also become familiar with the ShopBot components.

Day 3 (11/17) 6-9PM - In this class students will take their knowledge from the first two parts to make a sign on the ShopBot. Students will prepare their files from the first class in V-Carve. Next, everyone will do a quick refresher on the operations of the ShopBot and review safety. Then, one by one, students will take turns cutting their signs out and shutting down the machine.
