Meet your Makerspace
FabVille is hosting our Annual Maker Showcase on Thursday April 2nd 5-9 PM in our design lab at Somerville High School. Come together to celebrate and highlight our community’s creativity and the amazing wonders of Making!
At this event you can expect:
Tours of Fabville and testimonials by community members
Demonstrations of the tools we have in the shop: Laser Cutters, 3d Printers, Vinyl Cutters, CNC machines and more!
5-10 minute presentations from local creatives, organizations, and businesses on their projects and how Makerspaces like Fabville fulfill their needs.
Tabling by local artists, partner organizations, and businesses.
Networking opportunities with the Makers and Crafters of Somerville.
A Giveaway where one community member win a brand new 3d printer and a one on one 101 class to learn how to use it!
Schedule:
5:00 Doors open, First round of Tool Demonstrations, Skill shares
6:00 Robotics Demo and talk/Q&A with senior students in the Robotics program
6:30 Presentations start
7:30 Second round of Demos, Skill Shares and Networking Pizza Party
8:30 3D Printer Giveaway
8:45 Demos and Skill Shares end.
9:00 Closing
